• iCloud User ID: We use your iCloud userRecordID to identify you and associate your data with your iCloud account. This ID does not provide access to personal information like your name or email.
• App Usage Data: Non-personally identifiable information, such as app interaction logs, may be collected for performance optimization and debugging.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Analyze Photos: Photos are sent securely to OpenAI’s API for AI-based image analysis and description generation.
• Provide Metadata and Search: Enable features such as photo organization and search by location, keywords, or date.
• Sync Metadata: Store and sync metadata (e.g., tags or keywords) to your iCloud account for access across your devices.

• Encryption: Data is encrypted during transmission to OpenAI and when stored in iCloud.

5. User Controls and Choices

• Opt-Out of Third-Party Analysis: If you do not want your photos sent to OpenAI for analysis, you can refrain from using features requiring this functionality.

6. Data Retention

• Photos: Photos are not stored by SmartPhotosAI at any time. After being forwarded to OpenAI for processing, they are discarded.
• Metadata: Metadata generated by the app is stored in your private iCloud database until you delete it.

7. No Tracking

SmartPhotosAI does not use tracking technologies such as cookies or cross-app tracking. We comply with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
